My name is Jon-Michael LeBlanc, M.Div., LPC, and my wife and I live in Shreveport Louisiana with our two beautiful daughters. Having grown up in the local area, I truly love the amazing people, community and culture we have here.
I achieved my undergraduate training at LSUS, and then moved to New Orleans to gain my Masters at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. Afterwards, my wife and I moved to Louisville, KY, where we not only grew our family, but I had the opportunity to practice for 6.5 years in a Community Mental Health setting. There, I gained a wealth of experience and ongoing training across a wide variety of mental, emotional, substance and relational issues, as well as multiple treatment modalities. However, the areas of my greatest skill and enjoyment are counseling in parenting work, anxiety/trauma and substance related disorders. I consider the therapeutic relationship to be one that should grow and develop along healthy lines, where effort and intentionality are important, mistakes are learning opportunities and the value found in each other creates the safety to work on those life areas that are so often neglected, covered up or avoided all together. I tell people all the time that therapy is just healthy people with healthy life problems asking for help in a healthy manner.
